What Are Hydrocolloid Bandages for Kids?

Little scrapes deserve thoughtful care, too.
Hydrocolloid bandages create a protective covering over minor wounds while helping maintain a moist healing environment. Unlike a traditional bandage with a separate absorbent pad, hydrocolloid itself helps support the skin’s natural healing process.
That’s the care behind MoistureBand™ by KISSPRINKLE—an FDA-listed medical device designed with kids in mind.
Cute on the outside. Healing on the inside.
Kids’ bandages can be playful and still be made for real wound care.
MoistureBand combines hydrocolloid technology with small, flexible patches and designs kids can enjoy. Rather than covering a large area of healthy skin, you can choose a size that more closely fits the scrape.
That can be especially useful for the little scrapes that happen on cheeks, chins, foreheads, and other areas where a large bandage can feel like too much.
Why hydrocolloid?
Hydrocolloid helps maintain a moist environment that supports the skin’s natural healing process. As the dressing interacts with wound fluid, the center may gradually become cloudy or white. This can be a normal part of hydrocolloid wound care.
MoistureBand is designed to stay in place while securely attached, protecting the area as the skin heals underneath.
Healing made to fit
The Adventure Collection includes 35 hydrocolloid bandages in four sizes—from tiny 10 mm and 12 mm circles to patches for everyday cuts and longer scrapes.
For an uneven scrape, several small patches can also be placed along its shape—like a soft stitch—rather than covering the entire area with one oversized bandage.
Because good wound care doesn’t have to cover more than it needs to.
Cute on the outside. Healing on the inside.
